Christ the King Presbyterian Church (PCA) in Roanoke, Virginia

Christ-centered, Gospel-driven, Kingdom-minded church in Roanoke, Virginia

Who We Are

Christ the King is a community of believers seeking to worship God, grow in grace and serve in His kingdom.  We are Reformed and evangelical. We are members of the Presbyterian Church in America denomination.

The central thing to know about our church is that we desire to be Christ-centered in everything we do and as a result we long to love God, each other and this world.

Christ the King is a new church in the Roanoke Valley that was planted in 2007. We currently meet in New Slack Hall, on the campus of North Cross School.  We seek to be:

Christ-centered and Gospel-driven

A church committed to being Christ-centered in all we do.  We preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ and hold to the full authority of the Bible as the Word of God in all its parts, without error in all it teaches, the only infallible rule of faith and practice.

Kingdom-Minded

A church committed to being kingdom minded by calling individuals to a personal commitment to King Jesus and seeking to have the principles of His kingdom transform every aspect of our community.

Presbyterian

A Presbyterian congregation that is committed to being consciously gospel driven in all our life and ministry.  To that end we are committed to the Reformed confessional tradition, governed by elders (the Session), and possess a passion to live for the glory of God.

A Worshiping Community

A worshiping community that is joyful, historically connected, warm and reverent in a worship service that brings glory and honor to our God.

A Spiritual Family

A church committed to becoming a community of believers following Christ together, encouraging one another, helping one another and bearing one another’s burdens.  It is our prayer that we increasingly become a spiritual family for those who trust in Christ and find a spiritual home at CTK.

What are we to make of Christ? There is no question of what we can make of Him, it is entirely a question of what he intends to make of us.
