Penny was born and raised in Burlington, ON, Canada. He attended Lander University in Greenwood, SC, where, during his junior year, he heard the gospel of grace and believed in Christ. Following college, Penny worked for four years in college ministry at Mitchell Road Presbyterian Church. It was during this time that he met his wife, Kat. Penny is a graduate of Covenant Theological Seminary (MDiv and ThM). He’s been the Sr. Pastor of CTK since July 2016. Penny and Kat have two daughters, Laine and Mead, and a son, Cole.
